Fruit trees

Fruit trees in blossom.

A small apple or pear tree, about 4.5 m tall. Fruit trees are always planted and never grow wild.

Fruit trees grow in the gardens behind the houses and in the orchard that every village and town keeps near its middle. A manor’s walled garden and orchard lie behind its hall.

They blossom white in spring and bear red fruit from late summer into autumn. Like the other broad-leaved trees, they lose their leaves in autumn and stand bare in winter.
