Protection
Section titled “Protection”What a common piece stops on its own: body 30%. A crude one stops half of that, a poor one two thirds, a fine one four thirds and a masterwork one and a half times. Under or over other layers, each layer stops its share of what gets past the one above it. It is metal: a blade does not cut through it.
Made from
Section titled “Made from”A common piece takes 12 kg of iron. A crude one takes 0.6 of that, a poor one three quarters, a fine one half again and a masterwork twice. Traders buy what they lack from the town’s market, so a town with no iron soon has none to sell.
